Oglebay
Institute has influenced the lives of many people over the
years since its founding in 1930. Many of these people have
become generous supporters of the Institute's programs. The
Schrader Society honors those individuals and engages them
in the life of the Institute.
Oglebay Institute is committed to excellence in its four areas:
museums, performing arts, visual arts, and environmental education.
It consistently challenges to develop new approaches to
its disciplines, thereby making its programs accessible to
many audiences.
In order to provide long-term support for the organization,
the Board of Trustees has created the Schrader Society. It
is named in honor of Henry Stifel Schrader, and avid believer
in the organization, whose participation, leadership and philanthropy
were significant.
