Inspiring the imagination for over 75 years, Oglebay Institute is one of the most valued nonprofit organizations in the United States. Since its inception in 1930, Oglebay Institute has offered dynamic programming in five disciplines.

Environmental Education

Environmental education builds personal relationships with nature & offers members many free events at the Schrader Environmental Education Center, A.B Brooks Discovery Trails & Joan Stifel Corson Butterfly Gardens, all at Oglebay & Terra Alta, W.V.
Dance
Dance means more classes for all ages than any other studio in the region. Located at the Stifel Center, 1330 National Rd, Wheeling, Oglebay Institute's School of Dance teaches every form of dance, from belly-dancing to ballet -- and includes fitness. Members love our class discount!

Museums
Museums include the historic Mansion Museum, once owned by Earl W. Oglebay, and the Glass Museum, which houses the largest collection of Wheeling glass in the country. Nationally accredited, the museums offer members free admission year round. Both are located in Oglebay Park.

Performing Arts
Performing arts has theatre classes, musical shows, live plays & quality cinema. Classes are at both Stifel Center and Towngate Theatre & Cinema, 2118 Market Street, Wheeling, which offers community theatre or critically acclaimed films, most weekends. Member perk at the theatre means big savings.

Visual Arts
Visual arts inspires creative expressions and discovery. Artists, craftsmen, & the public have a chance to experience the visual arts through art exhibitions, classes, camps, and workshops at the Stifel Fine Arts Center, 1330 National Road -- and all are discounted for our valued members.
