PARCEL PLAYERS MEETING & AUDITIONS SET

WHEELING, W.Va. (May 6, 2008)- - Parcel Players, Oglebay Institute’s summer theater program for students ages 12 through college, will hold an organizational meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 27 at Towngate Theatre, 2118 Market Street, Wheeling. Students interested in learning more about the program are encouraged to attend. Parents are also welcome.

This annual summer theater program, begun more than 30 years ago, offers young people interested in theater a chance to act, direct, design sets, work with costumes, lighting and more. Under the direction of P.D. Gregg, Dave Henderson, and Gretchen Schneider, Parcel Players will produce three plays for summer 2008.

“The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-In-The-Moon Marigolds” by Paul Zindel will be presented to the public July 9-12; “I Remember Mama” by John Van Druten will be staged July 23-26 and “The Mousetrap” by Agatha Christie will be performed August 13-16.

Auditions for the three Parcel Players productions will be held at 7 p.m. both Sunday and Monday, June 1 and 2at Towngate. Those seeking roles can attend either of these dates.
