JAZZ AT THE STIFEL CONTINUES MARCH 8
WHEELING, W.Va. (February 25, 2008)—One of Pittsburgh’s most popular jazz acts- the Frank Cunimondo Trio- performs at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 8 at the Stifel Fine Arts Center as part of the popular Oglebay Institute “Jazz at the Stifel” music series.
Cunimondo was voted “Best Jazz Pianist” in Pittsburgh and has performed and recorded with nearly every jazz artist in the region. His most popular recording “Feelin’ Good,” which he recorded with Lynn Marino, is an international hit. The title track has also been used in a number of European dance mixes. Cunimondo has shared the stage with numerous jazz legends and appeared on “The Tonight Show.” In addition to performing, he has a long career teaching jazz piano at Duquesne University, the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon.
“Jazz at the Stifel” brings some of Pittsburgh’s best jazz artists to Wheeling on select Saturdays throughout the year. The Jerry & Louis Lucarelli Quintet performs April 12.
Individual tickets are $20 for each jazz show.
