ENJOY AN ANTIQUES WEEKEND AT OGLEBAY
WHEELING, W.Va. (January 19, 2009)- -Fans of vintage treasures can enjoy an antiques weekend during Oglebay Institute’s 55th Annual Antiques Show & Sale, April 3, 4 and 5 at Oglebay Resort & Conference Center in Wheeling, W.Va.
Complete with a wide assortment of nostalgic pieces ranging from furniture, linens and household collectibles to fine jewelry, artwork and ceramics, this event covers two floors of Wilson Lodge and features more than 50 reputable dealers from a variety of states.
General show hours are 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Saturday, April 4 and 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Sunday, April 5, with a general admission fee of just $7.
Special preview events, including the popular Dessert Preview Party, open the show Friday, April 3. The Dessert Party offers guests a sneak peak at the treasures while chatting with dealers and socializing with friends. An enticing array of sweets and coffees is provided and a cash bar is available. The cost is only $25 and includes repeat weekend admission to the show.
Other show highlights that are included with the price of admission include dealer booth talks on a variety of specialty areas as well as educational programs offering antiques collecting advice and decorating tips. Parking is free. Appraisal events and a guided show tour are offered for an additional fee.
Pennsylvania antiques dealer Peter Chillingworth manages the show and promises a broad array of top-notch collectors with a full inventory of merchandise. Advanced collectors and beginning buyers can shop with confidence knowing there are no fakes, no junk and no mysteries.
