TOWNGATE AUDITIONS WILL TAKE PLACE
WHEELING, WV, (October 9, 2009)— Auditions for the play, “The House at Pooh Corner” adapted by Bettye Knapp based on the book by A.A. Milne will take place at 7 p.m., Sunday, October 25 and again at 7 p.m., Monday, October 26 at Towngate Theatre, 2118 Market St. Wheeling.
The play features beloved characters Christopher Robin, Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet, Tigger and the rest of the gang in Hundred Acre Woods for a very special tale of friendship told in a classic bedtime-story environment. When the grown-ups decide that Christopher is ready for “Education,” the pals plot to run away. But is running away really the answer?
Directed by Tim Thompson, “The House at Pooh Corner” will be in production December 9 –13 and calls for a cast of 12 people plus extras.
Other audition dates for the 2009-2010 Towngate Theatre season include: November 22 and 23 for “G-Man,” the National Playwriting Contest Winner; January 18 and 19 for “And Then There Were None” by Agatha Christie and March 7 and 8 for “The Matchmaker” by Thornton Wilder.
