Landscape painters invade Wheeling, West Virginia as the region’s most talented outdoor painters bring their paint boxes and easels to Oglebay Resort for the annual Paint Oglebay- Plein Air event.

Well known for its gently rolling hillsides, beautifully landscaped gardens, nature trails and historically significant buildings, Oglebay is one of the nation’s premier resorts and captures the beauty of West Virginia.

Organized by ArtWorks Around Town and Oglebay Institute- Wheeling’s leading arts organizations- Paint Oglebay is an ideal opportunity for plein air painters to re-create on canvas the visual feast of nature’s beauty and for the public to watch art in progress.

Wilson Lodge at Oglebay has 265 rooms and suites, and is equipped with all the modern amenities including an indoor pool, jacuzzi, massage therapy, sauna and fitness room.
