The Art of Wine
Through music, theater, cinema, art and dance Oglebay Institute brings quality entertainment to the local community.
Live entertainment includes Jazz at the Stifel, Mountain Moon Coffeehouse and Towngate Unplugged. Local entertainment as well as acts from all over the country bring a variety of music to the Stifel Fine Arts Center.
Each year Towngate Theatre presents a full season of community theatre. Dozens of hit plays including comedy, drama, fantasy and farce are staged each season for the public to enjoy.
When live theater is not in production, Towngate Cinema presents critically acclaimed films on the biggest screen around. Films range from Oscar and Golden Globe winners to classics and independents.
Year-round changing art exhibitions at the Stifel Fine Arts Center display the work of local, regional and national artists.
Oglebay Institute’s School of Dance offers programs each year that showcase the talent of its students. The OI dance troupe performs three shows each season- a classical ballet in the fall, The Nutcracker during the holiday season and a spring concert that combines both classical and modern dance numbers.
