This beginning class will introduce your child to the basics of ballet, tumbling and tap.
Beginning Ballet   Sat., Mar. 22 $45/$35 OI Members Sat., 10:45-11:30am

8 weeks
This class will cover the basic ballet terms, positions and dancing in rhythm to strengthen coordination and balance.
Beginning Jazz   Sat., Mar. 22 $45/$35 OI Members Sat., 11:30am-12:15pm

8 weeks
Students will learn basic technique and terms to the latest modern music.
Beginning Tumbling   Sat., Mar. 22 $45/$35 OI Members Sat., 12:15-1pm

8 weeks
This class will consist of the basic elements needed to develop a solid tumbling foundation. These elements of focus are: rolls, cartwheels, handstands and splits along with other basic floor tumbling and strength and flexibility training.
Intermediate Ballet   Sat., Mar. 22 $45/$35 OI Members Sat., 1:30-2:15pm

This class is for students who have completed beginning ballet or have knowledge of basic dance terminology and skills
Intermediate Tumbling   Sat., Mar. 22 $45/$35 OI Members Sat., 2:15-3pm

8 weeks
This class continues to develop the basic tumbling skills, however emphasis on proper form, technique and strength will be the focus of this class.

Monroe County Acting Class
Classes begins Tuesday, March 11 for 8 weeks. Limit 20 students per session.

Instructor: Tim Thompson, Youth Theatre Director, Oglebay Institute

Tim is an actor, director and teacher of theatre with 30 years of experience. He has been Oglebay Institute’s Youth Theatre Director for the past four years and has been a theatre instructor at Bethany College and Wheeling Jesuit University. Tim received a master’s degree in acting from West Virginia University and a bachelor’s degree in theatre from Bethany College.

Are you interested in improving your acting skills? Do you suffer from stage fright? Join the “Acting is Believing” class and explore
the basics of acting which include exercises in voice, movement, improvisation and character
development. The class is designed to help you find honesty and comfort on stage.

Session II: Classes held at the United
