Stifel CenterVisual Arts Day Camps
Stifel art camps provide exciting hands-on activities that allow each child to explore art, meet creative challenges and exercise the imagination. From drawing and painting to photography and pottery, children explore their creativity through a variety of artistic mediums.

A trained adult staff of professional educators with extensive experience working with children and teaching about art lead all camp activities. Campers will swim at the Wheeling Park Pool Monday - Thursday and will be picked-up at the pool entrance. Cookouts will take place every Friday at the Stifel Fine Arts Center with hotdogs, chips, cookies and juice. Friday pick-up is at the Stifel Fine Arts Center.

Imagination Station
Enjoy hands-on fun, while making a marbled painting and discovering many other art forms. *Also available as an Art & Dance Combo-Camp. Click here for details.

Art Sampler
Explore the exciting and diverse world of art. Try your hand at painting, drawing, printmaking, pottery and sculpture.

YAY Clay!
Enjoy working with various types of clay while creating projects from the different techniques of clay hand building such as coil, slab, and pinch.

June 25-29
Lego World
Create your own art projects related to Lego creations. Take your best designs and put them to action. That’s right action, with stop motion animation. Videos will be posted on YouTube to share with family and friends.

July 9-13
Make Your Mark
Make your impression on the art world, learning various mediums of art starting with a mosaic.

July 16-20
Animal World
Explore the animal world through art. Start by creating a clay elephant!

July 23-27
Fairy Tale Kingdom
Journey into a magical world with frogs, wands, castles and much more.

July 30-August 3
Star Wars Camp
This camp takes the art of science fiction to a new level. Create art props and projects that will make them feel that the force is with them.

August 6-10
Hogwarts Camp
Join in on the Harry Potter craze, while creating wands and various new projects.

Funky Town
This incredibly creative camp will change the way kids think about art by exploring the Modern Art movement. Turn traditional materials into wall sculptures, screamers and more.

Digital World
Try your hand at digital photography, stop motion animation, robotics and more as you work in our new digital media lab!

June 25-29
Artist Studio
Discover which art style is your favorite while you try out different mediums including a faux stained glass painting.

July 9-13 & 16-20 (two week camp)
Film Making Camp
$210/$180 OI members
Learn the basics of movie making including acting, set design, camera work and prop building. Campers will create their own film to be shown at Towngate Cinema for family and friends. Held mornings at the Stifel Center and afternoons at the Wheeling Park pool. Limit 12.

July 9-13 & 16-20 (two week camp)
Magic of the Pottery Wheel
$210/$180 OI members
Explore the basics of throwing clay on the pottery wheel as well as clay hand building techniques. Also, learn about alternative methods such as raku firing. Limit 12.

July 23-27

Video Game Crazy
Campers will practice traditional art methods while creating original works featuring their favorite characters & games, then battle it out with friends in the 8th annual video game tournament!

July 30-August 3
Mix It Up
Take ordinary art to the next level by creating unique 2D & 3D mixed media art projects with uncommon materials.

August 6-10
Harry Potter Camp
The biggest camp of the summer! All new art projects, sorting hat ceremony, trivia challenge, house cup competition and costume contest.



Art Intensives for Teens Ages 14-17
Times: 9am-3pm

June 18-22 & 25-29 (two week camp)
Movie Making for Teens
$210/$180 OI members (full day, includes pool)
$170/$140 (1/2 day, instruction only, no pool)

Write, direct, film, and edit your own short movie. Each student will receive a dvd of their movie to take home. Limit 12.

July 23-27
Pottery Wheel
$105/$90 OI members (full day, includes pool)
$85/$70 OI members
(1/2 day, instruction only, no pool)
Work on the pottery wheel to create cups, bowls, and vases. Centering, trimming and attaching techniques will be covered. Students will glaze all work Wednesday, August 1 from 12-3 p.m. Limit 12.

July 30-August 3
Harry Potter for Teens
$105/$90 OI members (full day, includes pool)
$85/$70 OI members
(1/2 day, instruction only, no pool)
Art lovers and Harry Potter fans will create artwork based on the beloved book & movie series in a Hogwarts- inspired, fully decorated classroom. Students will also be sorted into houses for a house cup competition. Finish off the week with Butterbeer and a costume contest. Limit 16.
