Summer Day Camps: Visual Arts
Stifel art camps provide exciting hands-on activities that allow each child to explore art, meet creative challenges and exercise the imagination. From drawing and painting to photography and pottery, children explore their creativity through a variety of artistic mediums.

A trained adult staff of professional educators with extensive experience working with children and teaching about art lead all camp activities. Staff members are trained in First Aid and CPR.

Art Eyes	June 14 - 18	$40/$30 OI members (plus $5 materials fee)	9 - 11am	Explore the vision of artists by creating your very own unique art glasses.
Kaleidoscope of Art	June 21 - 25	$40/$30 OI members (plus $5 materials fee)	9 - 11am	Create projects based from the Kaleidoscope of art: symmetrical designs, changing patterns and changing colors. Take home your own Kaleidoscope at the end of the week.
Mini Masters	June 28 - July 2	$40/$30 OI members (plus $5 materials fee)	9 - 11am	Create masterpieces in a miniature fun size. Watch as they shrink right in front of your eyes using shrink paper.
Entering 1st Grade - Entering 4th Grade
Art Sampler	June 14 - 18	$95/$80 OI members	9am - 3pm	If your child is undecided about what art they like best or likes all different types of art, this camp is for them. Children will try their hand at painting, drawing, printmaking, pottery and sculpture.
The Art of Star Wars	June 21 - 25	$95/$80 OI members	9am - 3pm	Learn how to create characters and props from the famous "Star Wars" movies and other science fiction projects.
Introduction to Drawing	June 28 - July 2	$95/$80 OI members	9am - 3pm	This camp will help take your drawings to the next level. Learn how to draw people, cartoons and how to make your drawings come to life.
Colorful Cultures of Art	July 12 - 16	$95/$80 OI members	9am - 3pm	Explore different cultures and the colors behind them. Start the week with a colorful Rangoli design from India.
Bring it on Pokémon	July 19 - 23	$95/$80 OI members	9am - 3pm	Create your own unique Pokémon trading card boxes. Don’t forget to bring your favorite cards to fill them!
ARTrageous	July 26 - 30	$95/$80 OI members	9am - 3pm	Learn about artists in a fun and creative way. Create a found object assemblage just as artist Joseph Cornell did.
Claytastic	Aug. 2 - 6	$95/$80 OI members	9am - 3pm	Clay is here again! Create all new projects starting with a handmade clay bowl.
Hogwarts Camp	Aug. 9 - 13	$95/$80 OI members	9am - 3pm	Join us once again for the Harry Potter craze. Create an all new enchanted wand and more.

Summer Camp Sampler	June 14 - 18	$95/$80 OI members	9am - 3pm	Not sure which camps you want to attend this year? Make original works of art based on some of this summer’s hottest camps! Projects are unique to this camp and will not be repeated.
Clay Time	June 21 - 25	$95/$80 OI members	9am - 3pm	Learn the methods of clay hand building such as slab, coil and pinching while making fun projects out of various types of clay.
Animation Station	June 28 - July 2	$95/$80 OI members	9am - 3pm	Campers will learn step-by-step methods for drawing cartoons, Manga and make 3-D art based on their favorite characters.
Film Making Camp	July 12 - 16	$120/$100 OI members	9am - 3pm	Step into the "Twilight Zone" as we film our own movie based on the famous television show. Campers will focus on acting, camera work and lighting. Camp will take place at the Stifel Fine Arts Center and will not go to the pool. (limit 12)
Magic of the Wheel (Two Week Camp)	July 12 - 16 & July 19 - 23	$190/$160 OI members	$190/$160 OI members	Create basic objects on the pottery wheel as well as some hand building. Also learn and experience alternative firing methods such as Raku Firing. Students must enroll in both weeks (limit 12)
Video Game Crazy	July 19 - 23	$95/$80 OI members	9am - 3pm	Make fun art based on your favorite video game characters and then battle it out with your friends in the 6th annual video game tournament where the campers choose the games! Trophies awarded.
The Artists' Studio	July 26 - 30	$95/$80 OI members	9am - 3pm	Enjoy a week of artistic discovery as you learn to paint, draw and sculpt. Step-by-step methods will be taught as you create in & out of the studio. Traditional and modern art mediums covered.
Twilight Camp	Aug. 2 - 6	$95/$80 OI members	9am - 3pm	Make a family crest, posters and more as you join Edward & Bella on a week of art projects based on the popular book & movie series. (limit 16)
Harry Potter Camp	Aug. 9 - 13	$95/$80 OI members	9am - 3pm	Make lots of cool projects based on the popular book & movie series. Join in the sorting hat ceremony, house cup competition and trivia contest all in our decorated classroom! Wrap up the week with a cookout and Butterbeer. (limit 16)
