Postage Stamp PlayersPerforming Arts Day Camps
Performing arts camps teach children about acting, improvisation and how to perform for a live audience. Kids explore how to create characters, props, costumes and scenery.





Acting Camp
Session 1: June 11-15 (SOLD OUT)
Session 2: June 18-22
Session 3: June 25-29

9am-3pm • Grades 1-8
$130/$110 OI members

Children learn basic elements of theatre while rehearsing and performing a short version of The Twelve Dancing Princesses. Camp held at Towngate Theatre. Children must be available on Friday for a 2pm performance. All family and friends are invited to attend. Tim Thompson & PD Gregg, instructors. Limit 15 per week.

July 9-13 & 16-20 (two week camp)
Film Making Camp
9am-3pm • Grades 5-8
$210/$180 OI members

Learn the basic elements of movie making including acting, set design, camera work and prop building. Campers will create their own film to be shown at Towngate Cinema for family and friends. Camp is held mornings at the Stifel Fine Arts Center and afternoons at the Wheeling Park pool. Brad Johnson & Tim Thompson, instructors. Limit 12.

July 23-27
Puppetry Camp
9am-noon • Grades 1-4
$65/$55 OI members

Children will learn basic construction and manipulation of several types of puppets. A performance will be held at 11am on the final day of camp. Annie Shepard, instructor. Limit 10.

July 30-August 3
Improvisation Camp
Noon-3pm • Grades 5-8
$65/$55 OI members

Learn how to make up a scene inspired by a simple one-word suggestion. This short form improvisation camp will end with a performance of “Whose Turn Is It Anyway?” at 2pm on the final day of camp. Tim Thompson, instructor. Limit 12.
