Summer Intensive in the Arts
Join us for concentrated study with exceptional teachers who bring to the classroom the knowledge, motivation and expectations of the professional world of dance, drama and visual arts. Upon completing this summer intensive, students will be inspired to new heights of accomplishment.

July 6-9; 8am-5pm. For students entering Grade 1 – entering Grade 12.
Fee: $250
Students must attend all 4 days. Registration must be received by June 18. Space is limited.

Participants will rotate through the following disciplines:

• Modern dance training with Susanne Tranni McClure.

• Broadway jazz with Broadway dancer & TV actor Michael McClure.

• Ballet with Christopher Bandy, formerly of Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and currently with Dance Alloy Theatre in Pittsburgh.

• Morning warm-up with Cheryl Pompeo, Director of Oglebay Institute’s School of Dance.

• Vocal music with William Stephens. Learn the techniques of vocal production including pitch, rhythm, intonation, style and diction as it applies to a variety of musical genres.

• Creative drama with Kate Crosbie and Tim Thompson. Explore artistic communication through dramatic interpretive expression.

• Pottery with Rick Morgan. Learn the three basic hand-building techniques needed to work with clay. Older students will work on the pottery wheel.

• Photo collage with Jessica Starr Leach.

• Photography with Brad Johnson.
