Oglebay Institute Summer Day Camps
Oglebay Institute has been providing area children with safe, well-supervised, educational camps for more than 50 years. Each year brings new topics, new instructors and new ways to inspire.
Available for children of all ages, Oglebay Institute summer day camps are held each year from June through August. Taught by professional educators, each week of camp is designed around a different theme. Topics include nature, art, dance, history and theatre.
Most of the weeklong camps are held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Children can attend one week or all summer long. Camp scholarships are available to assist families in taking advantage of these fun and educational programs.

Nature Day Camps
Nature day camp provides exciting hands-on activities that promote a healthy lifestyle and allow each child to explore the wonders of nature through a multidisciplinary curriculum.
A trained adult staff with extensive experience working with children and teaching about nature lead all camp activities.

Performing Arts Day Camps
Postage Stamp Players
Join this exciting new company and learn about acting, dance and movie production and perform for a live audience.
Create characters, props, costumes, scenery and choreography for a musical, a play, an improve show or an original short movie. Each
session performs on the Towngate stage for family and friends.

Visual Arts Day Camps
Stifel art camps provide exciting hands-on activities that allow each child to explore art, meet creative challenges and exercise the imagination. From drawing and painting to photography and pottery, children explore their creativity through a variety of artistic mediums.
A trained adult staff of professional educators with extensive experience working with children and teaching about art lead all camp activities.

School of Dance Day Camps
From tumbling and tap to ballet and jazz,
summer dance camps give students an
opportunity to learn a variety of dance
techniques and principles and express their
creativity through movement and music.
Special guest artist camps allow dancers
to train with internationally renowned
artists. Camps are fun, challenging and age
appropriate.

Summer History Days
at the Museums of Oglebay Institute
For children with an interest in history, the Museums staff will guide interactive programming focusing on the Museums’ collections, programs & exhibits in the morning including a themed craft or activity, followed by a bag lunch & swimming at the Oglebay outdoor pool.
