Museums
May 1-31 THE MUSEUMS OF OGLEBAY INSTITUTE - The Mansion Museum and Glass Museum at Oglebay. The Mansion has 13 period rooms, the Wymer General Store and Sinclair Pharmacy collections. The Glass Museum houses the Northwood Gallery and the Sweeney Punch Bowl.

GLASSBLOWING DEMONSTRATIONS & WALK-IN WORKSHOPS - Held at the Glass Museum. For viewing times, call 304.242.7272. Workshops will not be available May 23-27.

The Museums of Oglebay Institute are open daily 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

May 12 & 13 MOTHER'S DAY GLASSMAKING WORKSHOPS - Create one-of-a-kind pieces of art glass with mothers, grandmothers, daughters, aunts & friends at the Glass Museum Studio. $140 per pair/$120 per OI members pair. Add up to two additional participants for $30 per person. Call 304.242.7272 to reserve a session.

May 1-31 THE STIFEL FINE ARTS CENTER - Featuring the Hart Galleries and changing art exhibitions. Open to the public from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturdays. Call 304.242.7700 for more information.
May 1-31 PEOPLE & PLACES - Photography exhibit featuring the dynamic work of emerging artists Chuck Yesenczki, Pete Wildey and Charlie Swart. Continues through June 8 at the Stifel Fine Arts Center. Free.
May 12 SUMMER KICK OFF & FAMILY FUN DAY- Community celebration includes arts and crafts for kids, nature, dance and history programs, a children’s theatre performance, music, refreshments and prize giveaways. 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Stifel Fine Arts Center. Free.
