May 15 RIVERS TO RIDGES - Ohio Valley Outdoor Adventure Club meets at 7 p.m. at the Schrader Center. The club unites outdoor enthusiasts for camaraderie, entertainment, challenge and adventure in the natural world. Club is open to new members. Call 304.242.6855 for more information.

THE MUSEUMS OF OGLEBAY INSTITUTE include The Mansion Museum & Glass Museum at Oglebay. The Mansion has 13 period rooms, the Wymer General Store & Sinclair Pharmacy collections. The Glass Museum houses the Northwood Gallery & the Sweeney Punch Bowl.

May 1-31 ASIAN GARDENS OF THE 1920S: THE TRAVELS OF ELIZABETH K. ROYS - Exhibit features photographs and observations by Smith College botany student Elizabeth Roys when she toured Asia in the 1920s. The exhibit highlights temple, palace, private, working-class, and ruined gardens in China, Japan, Korea, Thailand and India and explores their differing cultural conceptions of the garden. Exhibit continues through July 13.
May 3 FENG SHUI IN THE GARDEN - Learn the Chinese art of placement in the garden. Seminar presented by Susan Merkner of the Feng Shui Consulting & Design of Greater Pittsburgh. 1pm at the Mansion Museum. $10/$7 OI Members
