Utilize ceramic forming techniques such as pinch, score and slip and clay balloon. Demonstrate craftsmanship and originality to transfer a two-dimensional drawing into a 3D sculpture of an animal in its environment. |

Using self-hardening clay and hand-building methods, create a Picasso inspired vase. You will add expressionistic faces to each side, making yours unique. |
| Expressive Designs in Wire |

Analyze the work of Alexander Calder and consider how he used the elements and principles of design such as line, shape, form, emphasis, balance and repetition. Create a wire sculpture and identify similarities between your work and Calder’s sculptures. |
